Illness and medical expenses
From the 1st of March 2011, job seekers are considered to be actively seeking employment despite incidental illness of up to 5 days in total.
- Permission to utilise 5-day maximum sick leave in two parts in each 12-month period providing they have been registered within the system for total of five months since their first registration during the same period.
- The beginning and end of an illness shall be notified to The Directorate of Labour without undue delay.
- Furthermore, a medical certificate must be submitted within a week of the end of the period of illness upon request of The Directorate of Labour.
