The labour market in May 2016

Registered unemployment was 2,2% in May 2016 or down with 0,3% from  April 2016 but down from 2,9% in May 2015.

There were in average 4.018 unemployed in May 2016 or down with 330 from April 2016.

Unemployment by gender:
The unemployment by men was 1,8% in May 2016, down from 2,2% in April 2016.  The unemployment by women was 2,6% in May 2016 or down from 2,9% in April 2016.

The unemployment by young people:
There were 577 young 18-24 years unemployed in May 2016 or down from 660 in April 2016 but down from 845 in May 2015.

The long term unemployed:
There were 1.064 long term unemployed (over 1 year) in May 2016 or down from 1.068 in April 2016.

Open vacancies:
There were 432 open vacancies in May 2016 or up with 62 from April 2016 and up with 100 from May 2015.

Work permits:
There were 54 new open work permits issued in May 2016 or down with 1 new work permits from April 2016.

The unemployment forecast for June 2016:
It is expected that the unemployment rate will reduce due to seasonal fluctuations in June 2016 and be between 2% and 2,2%.
